A Message From Courtney

Hi there! I am so glad that you have taken the first step to learn more about counseling and the many ways it can bring insight and healing. I am honored and feel blessed to help walk alongside you through this process.

Back in 2009, I felt the calling from the Lord to shift paths from elementary education to psychology and counseling. As a native Carolinian, I knew a great deal about hospitality and the role of serving others. Being raised by a fiercely strong single mother, I was always taught about faith, forgiveness, and resiliency. Her ability to bounce back and remain encouraged in the Word of God had no other choice but to latch on to me and help me bloom where I was planted, bear fruit to the glory of God, and the enrichment of others.

During college and graduate school, my faith and the way I began to know God drastically changed. I accepted God's call to continue my education and training to become a clinical mental health counselor. I have always had a heart for serving others with the gifts God has given me. I feel so blessed to now literally have my dream job! I approach each session with the guidance of the Holy Spirit; praying the Lord's will into the hearts and lives of my clients, their families, and their circumstances.

In addition to being a counselor, I am an amazing (the favorite) auntie of two strong, beautiful nieces as well as two silly, loving nephews. I get it, life can be hard. Relationships are challenging. Faith can waver. Parenting is never easy. Let me help you through this process. Your family, your child, your faith, your life is worth it. You are worth it!

Bloom Where You Are Planted

"You brought a vine out of Egypt. You drove out the nations, and You planted it. You cleared the land for it. And its roots went deep and filled the land. The mountains were covered with its shadow. And the tall trees were covered with its branches. It sent out its branches to the sea, and its new branches to the River." Psalm 80:8-11
